Our packages are shipped Monday – Thursday with
UPS Ground.

UPS Ground Shipping guarantees delivery by the
date established when the packing label is created. When your order is placed
you will receive a shipping and delivery date. UPS guarantees delivery by this
date. If you do not receive your package by this date, please notify us and we
will submit a claim to UPS. If the claim is accepted, you will be credited the
shipping cost of your package(s).

UPS Ground
packages are delivered anytime, Monday through Friday, between the hours of
9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. to business addresses, and sometimes later to
residences. UPS Ground packages cannot be scheduled to arrive at a specific
time of day.

If the business
is not open at the time UPS attempts to deliver the package, UPS will hold the
package overnight and try again the next day. If this occurs, we are not
responsible for lost shelf life of products.

UPS’s Ground
shipping guarantee does not apply in the case of delays caused by circumstances
outside of UPS’s control. This includes weather related delays. Therefore, if
your package is delayed due to inclement weather (and due to UPS’s national
standing we may experience delays related to weather in other parts of the country),
neither Tandem Bakery nor UPS is responsible. Since we ship solely in the Northeast,
winter snow can affect deliveries. We may be prevented from shipping deliveries
out due to snow and may be unable to give significant notice. Your
understanding is appreciated.

If a box
arrives damaged you have the right to refuse the package, and it will be
returned to us. We will then file a claim with UPS.

If a box
arrives damaged and you accept the delivery you must contact us immediately if
you wish to file a claim with UPS for a refund. In the case of a damaged box
its contents must stay whole and unopened. We will need photo documentation of
the state of the packages, and UPS may need to inspect the box(s) to ensure
proper packaging was used. This may occur at a UPS facility or at the ‘delivered
to’ address.

If UPS approves
the claim, you will be reimbursed for the claim amount. If UPS denies the claim
due to insufficient packaging, we will reimburse you for all products deemed unselleable. Customer reimbursement in the event of a UPS claim denial for any
other reason will be handled on a case by case basis.

If you need a
replacement order due to a damaged box or boxes, please contact us as soon as
possible. Your replacement order will be worked into our baking schedule, and
immediate availability of products is not guaranteed.

If a box
arrives undamaged but upon opening, you find some items unacceptable for sale
you may contact us, and we will determine if a refund or credit is warranted.

We ship UPS
Ground as it is the most economical option for our customers. If you would
prefer a different shipping method with a guaranteed delivery date and time,
please let us know. Tandem Bakery will cover the cost of shipping a package
Ground, and any remaining shipping cost will be the customer’s responsibility.
